Vintage Times Two
I've mentioned this before, but for as long as I can remember, my mom has been into antiques. As I got older and not so annoyed with walking around on my tiny legs complaining, I started to enjoy it too. More and more I see it enveloping my life and all I want to do is go to Antique Markets on Sunday mornings or walk around Downtown Orange. I also just want to fill my house with it. And all the chippy things.
Recently, I've been very into making signs out of cheap pieces of wood or by recycling items I find at the Long Beach Flea Market. I still feel like my handwriting skills could use a little work, but hey practice makes perfect. Plus, it's pretty fun to search Pinterest for hilarious things to write on them.
My mom and I had an idea a few months ago... why not sell items that people want for events. We remembered the struggle of finding the perfect items for my Engagement Party, Bridal Shower, and Wedding so why not make it easier for other people. That all being said, we combined our love for antiques and our creative outlets to make, duh duh duh dun... Vintage Times Two! A mother-daughter duo dealio thing.
I posted on here awhile ago about us doing the Peddler's Market. It was kind of a trial run for us, but it really made us think about how to make this into something. We went to the drawing board, thought long and hard about a name that wasn't taken, made many Michaels trips, and found a cohesive design plan. We scoured estate sales, markets, friends homes, and women's leagues to find the coolest of the cool. And now, we are about to execute!! Come visit us THIS Saturday (as in tomorrow) at Behind the Picket Fence Vintage & Handmade Marketplace. I'll put the details below along with a few peeks at what we'll be bringing. Hope to see some friendly faces there :)
