Portraits // Lauren
I met this girl when my first job promoted me to a new store and she was one of my associates. I wouldn't say we truly got to know each other in the time that I was there, but she did leave an impression on me. I saw something in her that's rare to find in teenagers, especially in their first job. I can already hear her laughing as I write this, but she reminded me a lot of myself. She wanted to do her best, help others to succeed, and always progress even if it's not what she wants to do in life. About a year after my leaving for another company, I convinced her to join me and get what she deserved, appreciation and a promotion. Six months later, after a lot of deliberation I decided to leave that job and start somewhere new closer to home. Those girls meant so much to me and it was the only thing truly keeping me there. I'm so glad I've been able to see Lauren grow as a person and a leader and I can't wait to see what she does in her life. Her drive and her confidence are inspiring. Here's a few photos from our session together a few weeks ago.
